5 New Year's Resolutions for the Bride-To-Be

In addition to being one of the most thrilling days in your entire life, your wedding will likely also be one of the busiest and biggest events you'll ever host. Preparing for your wedding is incredibly exciting, but it's also a great deal of work. Taking the time to carefully organize things ahead of time can save a great deal of time (and tears) down the road. If you are planning a wedding in 2017, Bridal Couture of the Palm Beaches has put together a list of New Year's Resolutions for you to help you stay on track as you prepare for your big day.

New Year's Resolutions For Brides Planning Their Weddings

1. I Will Prepare The Guest List Before Anything Else.
While building your guest list may not be as exciting as shopping for dresses or touring potential venues, it is crucial that you do it first. The number of guests you plan to have at your wedding will impact all other aspects of the planning process. For example, your guest list will directly determine what size of venue you need, the venue you choose will dictate the formality of the attire you wear, the formality of your attire will impact the types of invitations you'll want to use, etc.

2. I Will Not Feel Guilty For Planning The Wedding My Partner And I Want.
Your wedding is a truly special event. You and your partner will never have the chance to live this day again, so you should have the freedom to make your day whatever you want it to be. Unfortunately, close family members may have strong opinions regarding what your day should look like and - worse - may try to influence you during the planning process. Remember, it's your wedding. You and your groom-to-be shouldn't have to apologize for planning the wedding you want.

3. I Will Trust My Vendors To Do Their Jobs.
The vendors and other wedding professionals you work with are there to make your day run smoothly. After careful consideration, you will hire your favorite professionals to make your big day even more special. Once you have chosen whom you want to take part in your big day, it's important that you step back and give them the space and freedom they need to do their jobs well. Micromanaging their performances will only create unnecessary stress for everyone involved.

4. I Will Take Time To Enjoy My Ceremony And Reception.
Even with the most in-depth advance planning, there are still a lot of details that need attention on your actual wedding day, such as organizing pictures and coordinating various events and activities. Rather than attempting to take care of all of it yourself, hire a wedding coordinator or appoint a trusted friend or family member to handle these details on your big day. You'll thank yourself later!
