5 Holiday Wedding Ideas

The holidays are quickly approaching and if you're planning your wedding around the holidays, now is the time to start finalizing your details. Winter weddings can be beautiful and using the holidays to your advantage is a great way to plan your wedding theme. In today's blog, Bridal Couture of the Palm Beaches would like to share with you a few unique holiday wedding ideas to help you finish up your wedding planning.

1. Incorporate Some Holiday Bling.

After you've found the perfect dress at our South Florida bridal salon, it's time to accessorize. If you're having a holiday wedding, consider adding a pop of red to your wedding attire. Red shoes or some red jewelry really shout holidays. If you're going for something a little more subtle, find some snowflake jewelry and maybe do some light blue or silver sparkly shoes.

2. Get Festive with the Table Decorations.

Instead of having flowers everywhere, get creative with the table decorations. Add a sense of festive abundance to the reception tables by using non-floral centerpieces. Grab some classic silver or gold ornaments to stick in clear vases or jars. Use votives, candlesticks and pine cones to add to the holiday feel. Strings of lights can also make the tables and chairs look more festive.

*Pro-Tip

If you're planning a holiday wedding for 2020 and not 2019, shop the clearance Christmas decorations after the holidays are over. You can score deeply discounted lights, ornaments, and other decors for your wedding.

3. Add Christmas Music to the Playlist.

Bring in the holiday cheer with some of your favorite Christmas tunes. Mix them in with your fun line dances and traditional wedding slow dance songs to change the mood and get everyone in the holiday spirit. If children will be attending the wedding, be sure to include Rudolph the Rednose Reindeer and Frosty the Snowman!

4. Serve Up Some Holiday Treats.

While you can't go without a delicious wedding cake, consider getting a smaller cake and also serving mini pumpkin pie or apple pie tarts. Think about your favorite holiday foods and try to incorporate them into the menu. Don't leave out the drinks. Serve a delicious apple cider or hot cocoa, and you can even spike it for those guests 21 and up! A sparkling cranberry winter cocktail is also a great, simple option - just mix cranberry juice and sparkling wine!

5. Cozy, Winter Party Favors.

Treat your guests with a cozy little gift. Make bags of hot cocoa mix to pass out to your guests or s'mores kits for them to enjoy at a later date. A mini box of holiday chocolates is also a great idea. Send your guests away with both a memory of a great night at your wedding and some holiday cheer.
